Mama's Boy

I am so thankful that my job allows me to spend time at home with my little guy. He is growing so fast and I would be so sad if I didn't have this time with him. We did a little mini photo shoot this morning..and I have some new favorite photos. I'll be enlarging these for sure.

2 month check-up

Today was Miller's 2 month checkup. Here he is waiting so patiently.

He weighs 13 lbs 9oz, 24 inches long..healthy boy.


And then came the shots. I had been dreading this. Eli couldn't get off work, so I just took him by myself. I told Eli afterwards, it's probably a good thing he wasn't there.

Mother's Day 2010

I got to celebrate my first Mother's Day this year. It was such a great day. Eli...I mean, Miller, got me the sweetest gift...a cement garden stone with Miller's footprints. I don't have a picture of it yet, but I will. Eli did it all by himself and it is my favorite gift ever! He also got me a big plant pot I had mentioned that I liked {good listener}, and a Hobby Lobby giftcard. Makes a mama happy. :) I am one blessed mama and I love my guys more than anything.

2 months

Wow! 2 months already. I can't even believe it. And like I said last month...the best 2 months of our lives. He's grown so much this past month, looking more like a little boy than so babyish. He's sitting up so much better in this months picture. Look how much he has changed since last month.



At 2 months:

* Likes bathtime.
* Really starting to move is arms and hands around.
* Wears mostly 3-6 month clothes.
* Drinks 4 ounces about every 3 hours during the day {unless we're in the car, then he's sleeping}.
* Smiles a lot.
* Watches us {follows us with his eyes}.
* Morning routine: wake up, change diaper, feed (if it’s time), put on clothes for the day, brush hair, suck boogies, play on changing table with mama. Then he sits in his bouncer for a while while I get things done. He likes to lay on his quilt and kick and look up at the lights and tv, especially when the Price is Right is on {seriously}.
* LOVES lights and fans.
* Trying to ‘talk’ more and more. It’s so cute.
* We practice saying ‘mama’ a lot. And we sing our ABC's.
* He’s starting to get mad when you quit feeding him and try to burp him. It makes us laugh.  
* First night in crib: 05/05/10 – He started fussing a little around 1am, I had to go in a give him his paci about 5 times, finally fed him at 4am. Then moved him back to his rock & play about 6am. Then we slept in until 9am. ☺
* I got him a light up/musical/motion toy that hooks to his crib. I had him laying in his crib during the day to get him used to it and I turned on that toy. I peeked at him and he was just smiling so big at it.


That's all I can think of for now.

Rock & Roll Baby

My brother got this guitar outfit for Miller and he can finally fit into it. So, yesterday, we did a mini photo shoot. His hair is so messy because after his bath, instead of combing it like I usually do, I let it dry all crazy, just to see what it would look like. It kind of goes with the whole just rolled out of bed rocker motif though.

And this one is from this morning. He has his first cold or allergies..not sure which. He's so congested with coughing, sneezing and watery eyes. It's sad, but he doesn't act like he feels bad. I took this right after he woke up this morning. Such a happy boy. I think he's saying "hi".

I know I said I would do a 2 month update on Monday. But I realized he's not actually 2 months until tomorrow (Saturday), so I'm really not late. :) I will have an update for sure tomorrow, on his 'official' 2 month day.

Here are some pictures from church last Sunday. It was baby dedication day and Millers Grammy, Aunt Whitney and Great granny & papa came to see him all decked out in his suit. (minus the suit pants because they were too big)

We found this suit at Dillard's on clearance for $9!! Of course I had to get it. We rolled up his sleeves just like his daddy does.

After church, we went out to my dad's for my sister's 22nd birthday. Miller got to see his big cousin Charlie who is 15 months older than him. I can't wait until Miller's big enough to run around with him. I have a feeling they will be trouble.
