It seems like every one of Miller toys is "Mr." something. We have Mr. Frog, Mr. Alien and this is Mr. Giraffe. He's a toy on the swing and Miller love to reach for/hit him. He's actually doing it as I type this. He just woke up and immediately starting hitting him.
I'll introduce you to Mr. Frog another day, he's the very favorite.

Road Trip
Last weekend, the three of us took at road trip {looong road trip} to visit my family in Phoenix. Miller had not met his great-grandma and other family there, so we thought it would be a great time to go visit.
We left out early July 1st and drove all the way through on the way there. 19 hours total. Miller did awesome! He's just a go with the flow kind of baby and I love it. Each stop was a lot longer than usual, but it was so much fun.
I was so happy to see my grandma play with Miller. She's the only grandparent I still have so I was so excited for her to meet him.
Miller saw his first cactus. {I didn't edit this image at all, the sky was that blue}
He also took his first {of many, I'm sure} trip to Cabela's.
We were there on the 4th of July too. We didn't watch fireworks..one, because they are way too loud and two..it's 2 hours earlier there so Miller went to bed at 7pm. {and woke up at 5am}. But, he was still patriotic. :)
Every time we go to Phoenix, we go to Rustler's Rooste to eat rattlesnake {yes, it tastes like chicken}. It's kind of a family tradition. So, of course we had to take Miller. His horns were a little big, even for his big noggin.
On our way home, we spent the night in Amarillo.
Then, we went to visit our friends The Hague's and I can't believe I didn't take one picture. :( After over 2,200 miles, we were glad to be home!

Long Overdue
I should have done this months ago, but I'm just getting around to it. Here, finally, is a tour of the nursery. I realized after I had taken all these, that I had my ISO set way too high, so they are not the best quality pictures, for those of you who care. :)
I looked at so many different nurseries online trying to find out what I wanted to do with his. I didn't want a theme. I'm just not a theme person. I just wanted it to be cute and cozy. I like the look of different patterns, colors and textures. It was a lot of work, but I loved it and I really like how it turned out.
A quick look around the room...
View from the door.
Crib from Sears {love it}
Curtains from Pier One {love them}. I love a lot of things in this room. ha!
Paper lantern from Target.com.
Chair from our awesome friends Matt & Audra. {love it too}
Changing table was a Craigslist find. {also love}
Nightstand was a garage sale find from my mom. I've had it for a few years, we just repainted it and put a new drawer pull on. {ok...I love it too}
And some details:
Millers Gamma (Eli's mom) made the bedding. {She made a sheet, but the one on there right now is from Target} I couldn't find any bedding I loved, so I ordered the fabric and she sewed it all up forme Miller. And I we love it!
Above his crib:
The owl rub on is from this Etsy store.
The "M is for Miller" I made, after seeing another Etsy store.
The heart collage, I got the idea from this project from Ali Edwards {you should so check out her blog}.
This also came from Ali Edwards. Be warned...if you try this, just know, it's a pain in the behind to hang.
This print came from this Etsy store.
Blocks were made by Millers Gamma, bowl I had from Anthropologie, frame and grass I also had.
This is the corner window seat. That bigger bear sitting by itself is from Miller's Grammy {my mom} and it's name is "Honeycutt", really. It came with a tag. The "Miller" blocks were made by Gamma for our baby shower.
This is one of my favorite things. I needed something to hang on the wall here, so I walked across the hall into my scrapbook room to go "shopping" and came back with this. It's from Pier One and I love it. It's a great place to show recent pictures {without having to take down those 'pain in the behind' frames} and other things.
I guess that's about it. If you have any questions, let me know. :)

4 months
It's hard to believe it's time for another update already. Miller turned 4 months on Thursday and he is so much fun!
Here's the monthly bear photo:
At 4 months he:
Loves to be in the sitting position..no more laying back.
Gets really restless when he's tired.
Starting to laugh at us more and more..it's the BEST sound ever.
Getting good at holding on to things and putting them in his mouth.
Loves his soft/silky yellow blankie.
So close to rolling from back to front.
Also loves to pull his paci out of his mouth and try to put it back in, although it usually ends up in his eye or nose.
Loves his play mat. He likes to grab the toys and put them..where else, but in his mouth.
Still size 2 diapers.
3-6 month, and 6 month clothes.
Size 1 shoes...he has tiny feet for such a chunk.
Likes to reach up and touch/grab your face.
These are a favorite pair of shoes right now.
I think he may end up having light hair...check out his roots.
