Project 365

Ok, so I'm already one day behind and it's only January 2nd...
This year I am going to 'attempt' (key word) Project 365, where you take at least one photo EVERY SINGLE DAY. I feel like a take a pretty good amount of photos...over 6,000 in 2009. But, taking one every single day for the entire year will be a challenge. Mainly because I'm going to have to get creative with what I take pictures of. But...I am up for the challenge. I figured this would be a good year to do it since we'll have a lot of new experience with our baby boy on the way.

This doesn't mean I'll only take one, but I am going to take at least one. I'm going to do my best to post them all here and I've started a Flickr album too. And, I'm sure I'll get behind, but I'll try hard. :)

You should join in too, I would love to keep up with everyone's photos!

So...for Day 1, 01.01...

BCP: Baker Christmas Party

We had our annual Baker Family Christmas Party the day after Christmas at Eli's aunt and uncle's which is always a blast! We have a huge family with lots of cousins and lots of little ones. If I'm counting right, which I'm probably not, there are 15 little ones..with 4 on the way. So, needless to say, there is always a lot going on when we get together. This time was no exception. We ate, played a fun game of dirty santa, played the Name Game (a family favorite), and Family Feud on the Wii. Plus, we 'played' in the snow.

The guys built a slide for the kids to go down.

Merry Christmas

This Christmas was a little different than normal, due the blizzard and all. We didn't get to see all of our family like usual, which makes me sad. But, we saw our nearby family, which makes me happy. Eli and I woke up early and had our Christmas together like always. This is our 10th Christmas together and the last one with just the two of us. Next year, we'll have a little boy crawling around. :) We decided to brave the 10 mile trek to his parent's house.

This is what the roads looked like..ice with snow on top.

We opened gifts inside and then went outside in the freezing cold for a little snow fun.

Making snowballs with gloves may not be the best idea.

The guys had to get out the 4-wheeler for a spin in the snow.

Then, we had our Christmas with my mom and Ian. We played some Wii, ate, laughed and opened gifts.

And poor Chloe had to endure a santa costume. We tried the Mrs. Claus one first, but she just looked mad wearing it.

We still have 3 more Christmas's to go! I will post pics of those in the next few days.
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!!

Snowed In

We finally are getting to have a white Christmas, and what a white Christmas it is. Sleet and snow all day long today kept us stuck at home. Eli's family braved the roads and came over for the day. Even though it was a 'blizzard' outside, I had to get a few pics of the snow.

One of me and the hubby...

Whitney and I decided to sit down in one of the big snow drifts. And I should have known, being 6 months pregnant, that it wasn't going to be easy getting back up. As soon as we sat down, the snow started blowing so hard I couldn't open my eyes. It was quite funny! (This photo is not flattering whatsoever :( )

Even Tucker decided to come out of his house for a quick photo.

And of course, we had to watch Christmas Vacation. Classic.
